Beim Firmware Update meiner Linkstation Live LS-CHL kommt die Fehlermeldung Could not confirm whether the partition exists. Was bedeutet das?

Antwort:

Manchmal kommt es bei dem Versuch die Firmware der Buffalo Linkstation Live mit BitTorrent LS-CHL zu updaten zu den folgenden Fehlermeldungen:

  • Could not confirm whether the partition exists.
  • Cannot update the Firmware.
  • Firmware updating is aborted.

Der Update-Vorgang wird daraufhin abgebrochen und das Firmware-Update schlägt fehl.

Um diesen Fehler zu beheben ist es notwendig die Konfigurations-Datei LSUpdater.ini im Firmware Paket mit einem Editor zu öffnen und den Eintrag NoFormatting von 1 auf 0 zu ändern.

Nach dem Speichern der Datei LSUpdater.ini und einem erneuten Klick auf die LSUpdater.exe wird nun das Firmware-Update auf dem NAS problemlos und ohne Fehlermeldungen durchgeführt.
